Books, Books, Books

Much as I love my kobo, I spent a few hours today picking out some new reading material - REAL BOOKS!

I managed to find a Charlaine Harris title that so far I've only read on my e-reader and I picked up half a dozen Darren Shan books from his 'Demonology' series.  I loved his Saga of Darren Shan so buying this set of books was a no-brainer for me and I daresay a full review of each will follow as soon as I have time to catch up!  Having worked a little on fairy tales at college this past month...

Demonic Possession

Posted by Andrea Lake on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, In : Regular
I was talking with a dear friend of mine the other day about demonic possession, specifically that film... The Devil Inside (which you probably know my opinion of already, if you've been following my blogs for a while.)

Grim Reaping - Anthony Lund

Posted by Andrea Lake on Thursday, April 26, 2012, In : Ghosts
I've just had my hands on this manuscript of new author, Anthony Lund.  This particular yarn features a plot to kill Death, also known as Grim Alfonso Reaper.  If you are familiar with the work of Terry Pratchett, then this book will definitely appeal to you, although this particular story is set between various places on earth as well as parts of Hell.  Grim has to uncover the truth about who is trying to kill him and also find a way to bring about his character restoration as well as bring ...

Poltergeist - 1982

Posted by Andrea Lake on Sunday, April 1, 2012, In : Ghosts
I was thrilled to see golden oldie Poltergeist on the television this week. The story is straight-forward enough; a ghostly presence takes control of the house and the youngest child, Carol Ann, who was actually born in the house starts talking to people through the television set. Alas, her parents think she is playing until she starts yelling at the screen. More paranormal activity takes effect, and furniture starts moving of its own volition.

This culminates in Carol Ann's brother, ...
